Capt Larry

In my life, I’ve owned, captained, and/or managed a number of different types of vessels from a Catalina 30 to a Sparkman Stevens Maxi 88 (97 feet overall). After retiring from healthcare in 2009 I went on a five-year sailing adventure taking my Passport 40 from Everett, Washington, USA to New York City by way of the Panama Canal with stops in Mexico, Central America, Jamaica, Cuba, and the Bahamas. I’ve worked in the marine industry as a sailing/boating instructor, charter and tour boat captain for many years. My longest single passage as a captain to date was a 3,500 mile voyage to French Polynesia. I hold a United States Coast Guard Master 100 Ton License and I am a Certified Advanced Open Water Diver. I’m also a singer/songwriter playing guitar and singing at local venues. In my earlier life I was an Armed Forces Medic and currently can provide emergency First Aid.

I would enjoy being your captain and sharing sunsets, eagles, whales, and the beautiful islands of the northwest. I will also play and sing for you.

Cheers,

Larry Byers, Captain
